The "A Country to Live in" foundation continues to provide support to Belarusians who have faced persecution, forced emigration and difficult life circumstances. In the second quarter of 2025, we supported families of political prisoners and people in crisis, while actively developing new projects — from children's camps in Germany to managing a shelter in Vilnius.

Financial Support

€21,942 — the total amount of financial aid received by families of Belarusian political prisoners in April–June. This includes payments under the "Family Friend" project, medical compensation and one-time payments.

€7,547 were paid as part of the "Voices Across Borders" solidarity relay, which took place in 2024. 11 families of political prisoners received payments (we do not name names for obvious reasons).

€21,000 we allocated for organizing children's sports and educational camps in Germany — together with a German NGO and the International Humanitarian Foundation. The camps became a space of safety, friendship and development for dozens of Belarusian children.

Vilnius Shelter — A Home for Those Who Seek Safety

In June, the foundation took full responsibility for the shelter's operations in Vilnius. This is not just a place to spend the night. We meet those fleeing from Belarus, help them recover, receive consultations and start a new life in safety.

Among the shelter residents are well-known public figures deported from Belarus, as well as those who cannot return home due to threats to their freedom. We meet their basic needs and provide psychological support.

Appeals We Received During This Period

📌 Psychological assistance: 8 new appeals, 24 people continue therapy from the previous period.

📌 Legal consultations: 44 people applied, we provided 39 full consultations on legalization, family law, social guarantees, etc.

📌 Migration support: 56 people received consultations on obtaining residence permits, refugee status, opening accounts, etc.

All this became possible through your solidarity and trust. If you want to join our work, you can:

💛 make a donation — even a small amount matters;

Thank you for your support!

Your support is a step toward freedom and justice

Every donation helps support political prisoners and their families, giving them hope and the means to overcome challenges.
