Charitable foundation "A Country to Live in" firmly and consistently advocates for creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful working environment for all people — regardless of gender, field of activity, status, or position in society.

We express deep concern in connection with public information regarding the behavior of Andrey Stryzhak, leader of the BySol initiative. We state unambiguously and without ambiguity: these actions cannot be justified or interpreted in a distorted manner — they are unacceptable and contradict basic ethical norms.

Such behavior completely does not correspond to the values we uphold as a civil and humanitarian organization. The situation undermines trust in the very essence of the work of organizations that help people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.

We are convinced: every woman has the right to work in a space free from any forms of persecution or harassment, where she does not experience fear, pressure, humiliation, discomfort, or threats. The same applies to every member of our community. Human dignity, safety, and respect — these are not a matter of choice, but an unconditional standard.

Such behavior has no place in BySol, in any other organization, or in the broader democratic Belarusian community. We remain an organization dedicated to creating a space where all people feel heard and protected. We will make all necessary efforts to defend these principles.
