We can't imagine what it's like to live in Belarus and be afraid of your phone or computer. Most Belarusians don't know all the technical possibilities, don't know the perfect ways to wipe the phone clean of digital traces. "Cloud", "cache", "accounts", "disks"... For many people, these words mean nothing, and the first check of the phone by law enforcement officials can lead to prosecution.
Our technical support helps Belarusians to protect their personal data and minimise the risk of arrest or detention, and suggests how to clean digital devices of dangerous data. We also work with people of retirement age - this option is more relevant for them than for the younger generation.
All Belarusians living permanently in the country and those crossing the border in both directions.
In 2024, we processed 174 requests for technical support on digital security.
- Setting up a secure "guerrilla" telegram;
- Cleaning" phones before crossing the border and after arrest;
- "cleaning" social media, web history, cloud storage and other issues.
Meanwhile, the number of apprehensions is increasing, and so are the requests to our technical service.
